Defeated and Temporarily on Hold
I woke up this morning, not psyched on having to go to work after a three day weekend but hey thats life. Upon waking I wanted to look something up in a book I have and reference from time to time. Its called Folk Medicine and was written by a Dr. back in the 70s who lived and worked in Vermont and watched Apple Cider Vinegar cure every from strep to indegestion and more. I CANNOT FIND MY BOOK ANYWHERE. I checked the main bookshelf, the secondary boodshelf, the stack of natural hippie type reads piled next to the computer, the stack of tattoo reference books on the table - this baby is gone. The one place I havent checked yet is my bag which theres like a 10% chance its there, so its prolly not. Man this bugs! I hate losing things, Im organized!
We went and looked at a new place to live not once, but thrice this weekend. We drove past and quickly saw a few others but this one house we kept going back to and spending time with the elderly wackadoo owner Agnes. She is in her beyond golden years, wears the funkiest outfits, stands at 4.5 feet tall, and went to Julliard in her heyday. Shes a piano player and her dream is to start a traditional A Capella christian hymn group. “None of that new nonsense, I want the good old original hymns where the words actual connected you with something”. She was amazing.
The house was old and just as private as the 100 year old farmhouse we’re in now - joy. The differences were its larger, a better layout, had some better details, and a much snazzier bathroom and kitchen. Agnes was there cleaning and scrubbing all weekend - she’s one tough firecracker. We talked about life, technology, the new rules of life and how we are truly imprisoned by the current going ons that most people dont seem to notice. Agnes was tuned in and wide awake. The house has its downfalls for sure but we may be able to make it work and Agnes may work with us on some things in return. We’ll see, theres a few more places lined up that are a bit different for us, newer and standard just like normal people live in.
Thanks for this morning chat, I really need it to get over temporarily misplacing my book which still sucks but Im sure I will find it eventually. And I least I know the Title and the bulk of its goodness, and thanks to the interweb could always hunt it down again if needed.
Hope everyone has a fantastic agreeable lets just get through the day, Monday Tuesday!
